KALA

Art has many meanings; its a skill, it's a prowess, and it can be used as an expression of human imagination. KALA which is Sanskrit for "art", is DES Studios dedicated branch towards South Asian shoots.

One of the most culturally diverse regions in the world is South Asia. In language, race, and religion South Asia's history is completely intertwined. Being the birthplace of multiple religions, hundreds of languages ethnic groups exist within South Asia. The region comprises the countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan; the Tibetan Highlands are also part of the region. Stretching from north to south for some 1,800 miles, and approximately the same distance from west to east, the region is home to an ancient and complex community of cultures.

Within this complex community, culture plays a massive role. It is this very culture that is engrained within the traditions and customs of those that call South Asia home.
